Shipping Tax Policy (U.S. Orders)
- States Where Shipping is Taxable.
-
If your order is shipped to one of the following states, shipping charges are generally subject to sales tax when the items in your order are taxable:
Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin (and several others).
(If your state requires it, tax will be automatically calculated at checkout.)
- States Where Shipping is Generally Not Taxable.
- In most other states, shipping is not taxed if it is listed separately from the item price. However, if shipping is combined with handling or other service fees, it may be taxable.
- States Without Sales Tax (Customer Self-Tax May Apply)
-
The following states do not have a state sales tax, so shipping is not taxed at checkout. However, customers may be responsible for reporting use tax directly to their local tax authority:
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon
Important Notes
If the items in your order are not taxable in your state, shipping charges are also not taxable.
If required by law, we will automatically apply sales tax (including on shipping, if applicable) at checkout.
Customers in states without sales tax are responsible for any applicable use tax on their purchases.
